The Hotel
This little Resort, immersed in the luxurious Atlantic Rainforest, set in front of the calm waters of the Bay of Abraão, recalls the traditional style of a colonial Portuguese fishing village with an intimate piazza detailed with a pavement of inlaid terracotta, and walls  of hand-hewn yellow, typical of the island. The Sagú m. R. opened in May 2002, with state-of-the-arts electrical, sanitary and plumbing  systems. Apart from the garden surrounding the resort's five structures, the Sagú m. R.  has at the disposal of it's guests 8 hectares of tropical forest and woodlands, rising behind the Resort to the nearby highlands, and have an incredible variety of plants. The name Sagú comes from a luxuriant garden plant: Cicas Circinalis.
